Blue Sky Farm

My blogging posts and photos are part of me . I think of this as a scrapbook of my life. The names have not been changed.. they are real people who have crossed my path along my journey. Some I know intimately, my family and friends. If their names are mentioned it's a sure sign they are special to me and I love them dearly...come along see for yourself, perhaps you know some of them too..

Christmas at the beach

Christmas at Yachats, Oregon
We rented a  lovely home through Beach Vacation Rentals..and will  go back for sure in the summer
,
We had a fabulous time with some of Clay's family  Here  Sister in law Jackie and me  in the Beautifully painted  house.  Bright colors  through out.. No way would you feel gloomy here in any weather.  Clay and  his brothers Steve  and Pete

We enjoyed the waves crashing onto the shore and the weather was mild. A bit of morning fog and as expected a bit of rain..Took many seaside pictures and here are a few.

This is Face Rock  at  Bandon , Oregon. ( do you see her face looking up to the sky?)

* WARNING
The next photo may be disturbing ..

While at the beach sadly a dead  female Grey Whale washed ashore,  I had never been so close to a whale before...The  Marine Biologists were examining and taking samples to determine what caused her death.

 The Lighthouse in the fog.. and a few beautiful  Elk we saw on the way home. Making our trip more eventful.

Glad you able to enjoy the beach. Raining here at home. Seeing one stand next to a whale really let's you see just how huge they are. Very sad though.

Yachats is one of my fave places-how lucky that you had a cheerful cottage for a week. See you next Wed?

I do not remember how I got here, but I am glad I did.
The face looking up the sky is fantastic! And the picture of the Lighthouse is good.

A wonderful way to spend a holiday and enjoy!
