So tell me, Does this finally make me a Farm girl? It's a used truck but a BIG truck and I am ready to put it to use! Isn't she a Beauty?
This is how it all happened...Yesterday, My DH & I went to town to buy more straw for the chicken coop. We have been hauling it bale at a time along with 50 lbs of chicken scratch in our 4x4 Ford Explorer when we need it. Every time we go we line the back with a tarp to keep straw from getting all over the back end. My DH complains each time..but we have done it so many times I quit listening and I think to myself "I wish we had a truck"and DH reminds me" we have a convertible (which he hates and has since I purchased it when we lived in Arizona.) in the garage at home..& Someday we can trade it in". Well, Yesterday was that Someday!
I am so happy! Now we can haul everything we want. Our next big project on Blue Sky Farm will be a Garden/Barn, we can haul the lumber for that and the Camper! Wait.. we don't have one of those yet..but maybe next time we go to town for bird seed or feed or lumber in our Truck, we will spot Our dream Camper.. I will for sure let you know.. * and ya know what else?, I don't think I will miss my convertible . In the mean time this mama is one happy Farm girl!

Well, congrats! you farm girl, YOU! Nice truck. Sometimes I wish I had my own truck to haul stuff, instead of having to wait for hubby to get home. :o)
Yes, that truck makes you a real Farm Girl!! and a beautiful truck it is. Have lots of fun with it.

Yep, you're a true farmgirl now. Congrats! Love the color.
Congratulations Farm Girl, every Farm Girl needs a truck to haul all her treasures home. Farm Girl Florence
How exciting. I would say “yes” you are officially a farm girl :) You are so right though--it is a must for farming, hauling and all that stuff we do. I ruined the back seat and ceiling of my VW Passatt putting lumber and everything you can imagine in there before we got a used truck for the farm. We use it all the time. Congratulations :)
When we hauled pigs home in the back of our Tahoe, I knew it was time for a truck. We just got one too. I, like you, definitly feel like a farm girl now.
For $20, we had a decal made to put on the truck back window with our farm name on it. It's cute.
Well I saw you yesterday and had to read your blog to find out about the truck. Wow!!! good for you.
What a nice truck. I have a 1991 GMC extended cab truck. It's old but I love it; hauling feed, trash, etc. I use my car most of the time.
