Blue Sky Farm

My blogging posts and photos are part of me . I think of this as a scrapbook of my life. The names have not been changed.. they are real people who have crossed my path along my journey. Some I know intimately, my family and friends. If their names are mentioned it's a sure sign they are special to me and I love them dearly...come along see for yourself, perhaps you know some of them too..

Oh! The beautiful flowers!

For me, Flowers used to be for special occasions, or so  I thought, but since I started adding bits of "pretties" to my budget I purchase them regularly now.. I love them in my home..and treat my home to fresh flowers weekly. I love flowers! They make me smile..... I finally purchased my first orchids today. My mom gave me a gift card for my birthday  and I knew just what I wanted. I have often purchased the lilies and others and saw the Orchids as a luxury item. Why ? I do not know, but probably because they are so much more expensive and I usually do not have luck with purchasing more expensive plants & flowers, Today I decided I deserve these... pretties and hope I can keep them alive. I know very little about the orchid but have been reading more & more about them.  Do you treat yourself to flower luxury?

Gorgeous orchids...you'll do great with them as long as you mist them regularly...they HATE direct sunlight.

Glad you're home so you can do more "regular" blogging..LOL!

Beautiful flowers! Luxury? Hmmmm....that's a good question. Would a bottle of wine now and then be a luxury or a necessity? :)

Marla: I consider a bottle of wine definitely a necessity... And for cooking too...( just ask Carol)
Carol: I don't have your green thumb but will give it by best shot.

Only from my own garden. Can't afford to buy them, but I can grow them!
