A great homemade treat.
This should have been my Friday Food entry #7
I strung some orange lights along the railing as well..
Maple Pecan Granola
5 cups coarse rolled oats
½ cup untoasted sesame seeds
½ -¾ cup raw sunflower seeds
1 cup raw peanuts with skins
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup sliced almonds
½ cup slivered almonds
1 cup flake coconut
1/2 cup maple syrup
½ cup honey
1/8 cup canola oil
1teaspoon vanilla
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl, Mix syrup, honey, oil & vanilla together & stir into the dry oat mixture.
Mixture will be crumbly & sticky
Spread onto a jelly roll pan. Bake 250 degrees stirring every 15 minutes until dry &golden brown
Cool well and store in airtight container…
I added 1 cup raisins when granola cooled. Very good over yogurt
Bon Appetite!

Yummy! Simon has been asking me to make him some granola bars, I may give it a go.
Looks like that ceramic chicken wants to dive right in!
Looks good although I'd rather have a BBQ New York steak! LOL
